Chapter One
A little boy and his mother were sitting on a bench in a park on the day an object fell from the sky.
"Mommy, did you see that black dot in the sky?" He asked, tugging at his mother's shirt. She looked up questioningly from the novel she was reading to look at her son, then to the cloudy sky above.
"Hmm. I don't see anything, honey." The older woman looked back down to her son. "That's because it went really fast! Then it disappeared in the forest over there!" He energetically pointed to a forest area a couple miles from their location. "Can we go see what it was?"

"I'm afraid I do not know what to say or do in this kind of situation." Cera admitted. She and Hailey were currently in Hailey's bedroom sitting on her bed. They were at a respectable distance from each other on the edge of the bed, but close enough that it was some how nice. Hailey shifted a little.
"You're here. That's a good start." The shorter girl aided. She herself didn't know the tall alien girl very well. Hailey figured that Cera wasn't the kind of girl guys would want to break up with. She though, was a different story. She wasn't tall and model thin. Her hair wasn't very light in color or long in length. Her eyes were not the typ
"Don't touch me. If you do, you're sleeping outside. Got it?"
The words seemed harsh at the time, but Cera knew why Hailey was so guarded. Why wouldn't Hailey be? She was about to become in close contact with a creature from another planet. Who knows what strange things that could happen? Of course Cera knew that nothing would happen. She and Hailey's species were closely related; it's not like she was going to grow five arms and strangle her to death! Goodness no!

It was finally dark out at the camp area. All the other students were in their respected tents with their partners and everything was going smoothly. Cera overheard a few students earlier when groups were being sorted whisper that they were going to sneak out near the middle of the night. She would have to watch out for that. If she was going to reside on this planet for a while, she might as well do some good deeds. And helping children was good here, correct? Cera hoped so.
Hailey was currently sitting near one of the edges inside the small tent reading a novel. She was slightly struggling to turn on the gas lamp that was given to th
